Luna de Miel

I have always loved the Spanish translation for honeymoon. Literally translated (luna = moon, miel = honey) it sounds twice as yummy. Well, I am (finally!) off to my own luna de miel so I will not be posting for a while.

We are going to one of my favorite cities in the world (so far)...Barcelona. I can't wait to take C around and show him all my favorite places, as well as check out some new ones on my list. Then we rent a car and go road trip up the Costa Brava. We'll also squeeze in a flight all the way down south to Malaga for a quick visit to some family. Only a few days more to go...I can't wait!

See you all when I get back!

Enjoy your honeymoon! I'm off to Barcelona myself this November. I've never been but I hear they have great food!

This is so exciting time for the two of you. Enjoy your honeymoon!

Ps, while you're there, you ought to get some spices for making your first paella! They normally sell the ready mix ones. I bought a few sachets in boxes when we went to mallorca and it's nearly finished... they're very good!

Take care Joey. Oh, and check out the Filipino Karaoke bar that my brother went to. He said there's nothing quite like it - it was really good. I wish i know what's it called but ask around :)

Did you print out a copy of Marketman's recommendations in Barcelona, especially for chocolate? I did that for my dad, who might go late this year. Have a wonderful, unforgettable honeymoon -- from what I've heard, Barcelona's a perfect spot for it!

Hi Wysgal! Thanks, I will! :) They do have good food and really cool sites...I love their modernisme everything! I will let you know where I go when I get back but right off the bat I can tell you, foodwise, you must go to Asador Aranda on Avda. Tibidabo...amazing suckling lamb!

Hi Mae! Thank you! :) I will chack out the food shops and spices...definitely! But you know, we can get paella spices here too already :) And that is even IF I attempt paella...wooo, we will see, hehe :) It's not a good idea for me to go to karaoke bars because I am sintonado and a mic-hog...bad combi (that doesn't stop me though from inflicting pain on others...hahaha!).

Hi Katrina! Yes, I got his reco's, I actually am using on of the books he pictured (Style City...fantastic guides!)...definitely going to check out the chocolates :)

Hi Jmom! Thanks a lot...I will enjoy every minute! :)

Hi Tanna! You are so lucky to have sailed across the Atlantic!!! What an adventure that must have been! I will say "hi" to Malaga for you :)

Hi Nens! I will meeees you tooo! I promise not to think of work! :) Hayayay! Will tell you all about it when I get back!

Hi Paz! Thanks! :)

Hi Elna! Thanks! I am so happy to hear that the fabada recipe worked out well for you! :)
