Muscovado sugar is an unrefined dark brown sugar with a strong molasses-y flavor. It's a little bit moist and very yummy. It gives baked goods an interesting flavor dimension and it's also great in coffee (this is how my brother likes to sweeten his coffee).ChichaJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14143881216169572999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14448190.post-1125894790085523552005-09-05T12:33:00.000+08:002005-09-05T12:33:00.000+08:00I like oatmeal (and cream of wheat)! I've never heard of it before.

The oatmeal looks good. I love a good breakfast start. Winter is just around the corner and this will be really good to eat during the cold season for me.

PazAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14448190.post-1125849255099692822005-09-04T23:54:00.000+08:002005-09-04T23:54:00.000+08:00Hi Mona li! The book worked for me tremendously.....Hi Mona li! The book worked for me tremendously...and I actually had fun the whole time (and still do). However, it didn't work for some of my friends. It's more of a "lifestyle" book, than a "diet" book...so it's not very specific, dealing more with concepts, than a specific regimen to follow...which is perfect for me (I can't take to books that tell you "don't ever eat this or that")...plus it has a whole chapter on enjoying chocolate :-)

Hi Celia! It definitely adds something special to a regular breakfast staple :-)

Hi Barbara! I wish I could go the blueberry route (not just for this) but it's very hard to find them here...sounds yummy though :-)

Hi Angelika! I really love fruits (apples included), except for durian (a taste which for the life of me I cannot "acquire"). And yes, food enjoyment must never be rushed... :-)

Hi Nic! Thanks! Yup, they go wonderfully together :-)

Hi Lori! Oatmeal is really best and at it's most "healing" served hot...but I have acquired this unorthodox taste for cold oatmeal :-)

Hi Saffron! Love muscovado sugar! It does the same thing with yogurt (open the yogurt container, sprinkle with muscovado, re-seal, return to the fridge for a couple of minutes, and when you open again it's transformed into runny syrup) :-)ChichaJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14143881216169572999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14448190.post-1125823334851824742005-09-04T16:42:00.000+08:002005-09-04T16:42:00.000+08:00mmm you got me at muscavado sugar. goodness that b...mmm you got me at muscavado sugar. goodness that brown syrupy wonderment is lovely to see.deborahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00684760698194154786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14448190.post-1125803151337609032005-09-04T11:05:00.000+08:002005-09-04T11:05:00.000+08:00Even at the height of summer, I still like my oatm...Even at the height of summer, I still like my oatmeal hot. :)Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03147587210432766761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14448190.post-1125754800347267532005-09-03T21:40:00.000+08:002005-09-03T21:40:00.000+08:00Grates apples are a great addition to oatmeal.
