And I also love the way I can find a fresh fig "exotic" the same way someone across the globe would find a pineapple or a mango "exotic"...more reason for people to get out there and meet each other, and exchange fruits! Heehee :)

NENS!!! Hello! I can't believe it! It is a big coincidence :) Can't wait for you to be back so we can share fig stories...hehehe :) Miss you!!!

Hi Barbara! I don't think I'll have one in a looong while though...

Hi Ivonne! They were absolutely magical! Of course, there is always some kind of magic in any first...but they were really delicious! :)

Jen! You must tell us where in Greenhills is The Fruit Store! As you can see there are a lot of fig fans here :)

Hi Marketman! Sigh...I am now a total fan as well! Let's hope we can finally find them here :) With bacon or prosciutto? That has my name all over it! :) YUM!

Hi Zita! C had a lamb with fig sauce dish in the Costa Brava and it was wonderful! You are very lucky to have a mother-in-law that makes it! I am back already but I think I ate enough jamon for us all while I was there! Haha!

Hi Katrina! I think it's time for a fig hunting expedition...cross your fingers! :)ChichaJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14143881216169572999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14448190.post-1162198230077826852006-10-30T16:50:00.000+08:002006-10-30T16:50:00.000+08:00I'm so envious! But in a way it is comforting to know and see that you cannot get everything anywhere, so there is still some to discover !
