But yes, maybe space it out, hehe ;) So good right? Unfortunately, my heat was too high again. :-( I've yet to learn exactly what people mean by "high," "medium-high," "low," etc. Oh, for the exactitude of baking, when 400 degrees is exactly that! ;-) Anyway, so I burned the garlic and aligue a bit, and the yolk wasn't as runny as I'd like, but it was still good. How could it NOT be, when I used the precious aligue I had my brother-in-law bring me from Capiz?! I kid you not, it is the BEST! It's so chunky, that even after you heat it up, not all of it melts.

Now I want to cook this again because I want to get it right. But I fear for my health, so I'll wait a while...maybe next week. :-DKatrinanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14448190.post-37030239800135392702011-12-27T16:20:40.878+08:002011-12-27T16:20:40.878+08:00Hi Mirage! I needed a filling meal to line my stomach for the boozy night ahead. I told myself I'd make it relatively healthy by just mixing the rice with tuna and an egg. I went down to the store the buy the ingredients. As I was waiting for the cashier to ring up my purchases, I noticed a jar of aligue strategically placed near the counter. "Oh, miss...could you add this, too?" :-D

While eating my now-very-unhealthy fried rice with tuna, egg AND aligue, I texted F about it. He replied, "You're going to kill yourself!" I said, "So you don't want to taste it?" His text quickly arrived, "Yes, I do!!!" HAHAHA!

You can bet that aligue helped me drink more that night! :-D

(And now you know how I gained all that weight then.)Katrinanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14448190.post-83248262292235168722011-12-12T05:15:56.646+08:002011-12-12T05:15:56.646+08:00OMG, JOEY!!!!! Your avowed passion for chicharon, ...OMG, JOEY!!!!! Your avowed passion for chicharon, bagnet, lechon, and all things porky has never shocked me, since I am equally self-indulgent (albeit, not necessarily for pork); but just reading the title of this post literally made me gasp! My first thought was, "That is just too decadent, unhealthy and over-the top!" But that was a mere, fleeting moment. My next thought followed right after, and it was, "BRILLIANT!!! I must try it immediately!" :-D

I am a HUGE fan of aligue, and it's one of the words that always jump out to me from a menu (apart from, as you already know, "deep-fried," "crunchy," and "foie gras"). And to have it with fried eggs is just genius! You truly are a girl after my fat-wrapped heart. ;-)

I still haven't cooked your egg with anchovy butter dish (keep forgetting), but I have a feeling this recipe will be tried sooner than that.
